DSC Engineering staff is currently assisting the City of Los Angeles and Tetra Tech, Inc. complete the construction of the Riverside Drive Bridge Widening and Retrofit project. The project includes the extension of the Los Angeles River Bikepath under the widened bridge, extending the current terminus of the LA River Bikepath past Riverside Drive. DSC Engineering Founder and President, Mr. Joe Dietz, is the Engineer of Record for this project.
DOCK 4 REPAIR, BUILDING 1077

DSC Engineering is providing Structural Engineering Services in support of the renovation of Dock 4, Building 1077, at Beale AFB to provide hangar upgrades. These upgrades are necessary to provide a proper work environment for repair of aircraft fuel cells. Work included a Seismic Analysis of the existing structure built in the 1960s to determine its adequacy to support additional loads and to meet the requirements of the current Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs). DSC Engineering assisted in the preparation of the Design-Build RFP Documentation for the project.
VILLA METRO PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

DSC Engineering provided design and construction phase services in support of the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over Soledad Canyon Road as part of the Villa Metro Development in Santa Clarita. DSC Engineering assisted the City of Santa Clarita in the review and approval of the project plans, performed structural observations, and provided expertise in the coordination and construction of the prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridge. DSC Engineering staff have acted as the Engineer of Record on eight similar bridges for the City of Santa Clarita.
HOUGHTON PARK COMMUNITY CENTER

DSC Engineering is providing Civil Engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the Houghton Park Community Center. The original Community Center was built in 1939, expanded in 1959, and again during the 1980's. The new renovation and expansion will provide additional community space, an outdoor courtyard, increased parking, and storm water quality measures. The civil scope includes the renovation, expansion, and reconfiguration of the existing parking lot. Low Impact Development storm water features will be incorporated into the site and landscape design elements.
EARL STREET 20 UNIT DEVELOPMENT

DSC Engineering is providing Civil Engineering services for the development of 20 Single Family Homes on a previously developed site. Civil Engineering services include: Precise Grading, Hydrology, Storm Drain, Right-of-Way Improvements, Sewer Studies, Sewer Improvements, Domestic Water Improvements, SUSMP/Water Quality Improvements, and a project SWPPP. The project is currently in the Construction Document Phase.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA
PROJECT OWNER: CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH
DSC Engineering provided construction engineering services to Pascal & Ludwig Constructors for the rehabilitation of the Laguna SOCWA sewer wet well. During construction, the existing wet well walls were found to be in severe stages of corrosion. The project called for workers to remove delaminated and failed concrete. To safely perform this work, DSC Engineering worked with Pascal & Ludwig, the City of Laguna Beach, and SOCWA to develop a retrofit, shoring, and work sequence plan to meet project retrofit goals while maintaining worker safety and structural integrity of the existing structure.
